How it works
From a passing thought to something you can find again
Nothing here needs setting up before it starts being useful. You write something down; everything else follows from that.
Write down an impression
During personal reading, type it straight in, or speak it and let the app do the writing. At a meeting, most people write by hand on paper as usual — then type it up afterwards.
It gets keyworded on its own
Noema picks out the meaningful words in what you wrote. There is nothing to tag and no folders to keep tidy. Different forms of the same word are treated as one, so "mercy" and "mercies" do not end up as two separate topics.
Patterns appear over time
After a few weeks you can see which topics you keep returning to. Not because anything was analysed about you — simply because the words you wrote were counted. This stays private to you.
Old impressions come back
A note you wrote months ago reappears in the Inspiration feed. Not at random, and not in order: notes that share a topic tend to follow one another, so reading it feels like following a thread rather than shuffling a deck. Each note comes back less often as time passes, but never disappears altogether.
A reading plan gives it a rhythm
Set up a recurring schedule — weekdays, Saturdays, Lord's Days, or days of your own choosing — and see it as a calendar. A gentle reminder keeps it going. This part is free, and always will be.
