Inspiration

Most notes are written once and never looked at again. The Inspiration feed exists to change that: it hands your own past reflections back to you, gradually, without you having to go looking.

It is worth being precise about what it is doing, because "resurface old notes" could mean almost anything.

From two years ago

Thankfulness does not wait for things to be easy — it changes how the hard things feel.

How to use it

  1. Nothing appears straight away

A new note waits several days before it can come back. Handing something back the day after you wrote it is just the list you already have — the distance is what makes it worth reading again.

  2. It follows a thread

This is the part that is not random. When a note is shown, the next one is more likely to be one that shares a topic with it. So a few minutes in the feed tends to follow a line of thought rather than jumping about. It is a tendency, not a rule — otherwise you would only ever see one subject.

  3. Each note comes back less often over time

A note might reappear after a week, then a month, then several months, then rarely. It never retires completely. Something you wrote five years ago can still turn up, which is often when it lands hardest.

  4. Notes that have waited get a nudge

If something has been due to reappear for a long while without being chosen, it becomes more likely to be picked — so nothing sits waiting indefinitely.

What it costs

The full feed is free for your first 5 days, so you can see what it is actually like rather than guessing from a description.

After that, the free plan shows the top 3 each time, and the full feed is part of Plus. This feature is used a lot, so it comes with a small monthly fee to help cover data processing. You can cancel any time.

Nothing is taken away in the meantime — every note stays in your Impressions list, searchable, free, always.
